Tafi (the “Service”) is operated as a marketplace connecting consumers with independent service providers and businesses in Nigeria. By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Accounts + identity
Accounts are tied to a verified Nigerian phone number. We verify your identity with NIMC (NIN) or your bank (BVN) before allowing payouts. Providing false information may result in account suspension and forfeit of any pending payouts.
3. Bookings + escrow
Tafi holds payment in escrow until the agreed work is delivered. Funds release automatically 48 hours after a job is marked complete if no dispute is opened. Cancellation fees apply within 24 hours of a scheduled start (see Cancellation Policy in your booking detail).
4. Disputes
Either party may open a dispute within 7 days of completion. Our AI mediator proposes a resolution; if both parties accept, the escrow is split accordingly. Unresolved disputes are reviewed by a human within 5 business days.
5. Provider conduct
Providers agree to keep their availability state honest, deliver work as quoted, and use the in-app chat as the system of record. Tafi may pause discoverability for providers with elevated dispute or cancellation rates.
6. Fees
Tafi charges a 5% service fee on each released milestone. Paystack processing fees (1.5% + ₦100, capped at ₦2,000 for cards) are passed through and shown at checkout.
7. Privacy + data
Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data. NIN/BVN numbers are verified but not stored beyond the last 4 digits.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Funds held in escrow at the time of deletion will be released or refunded according to their current state.
9. Liability
Tafi is not a party to the underlying service contract. We are liable only for the funds held in escrow and for the correct operation of our platform. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the fees collected on the transaction in question.
